Q: What would you choose first for redesigning a room?
A: I prefer to choose the furniture and accessories --particularly the fabrics -- first. That way I can take any color from the fabric and use it on the walls. It's a simple matter to take a swatch to the paint store and have any color matched.

Q: My room doesn't get much natural light. Do I have to choose a lighter wall color?
A: Not necessarily -- it depends on your application. If you want the room to feel brighter, then by all means use a lighter color. But be aware that a dark, rich color may also work, especially if you want to add drama, warmth and elegance.

Q: How can I pick the right furniture for a room?
A: first of all.... knowing the size of your room, what are the items do you need in a room. second... is the existing style of your house to your rooms. So that you can go shop for something that can match the existing!! Sometimes, mix and match the different style of furniture can create an interesting chemical. First, determine your lifestyle and level of formality, and use that information to find appealing furniture that fits your style. Dark tones and woods such as mahogany and cherry create a heavy, conservative atmosphere, whereas light woods and soft colors help make a room rustic and casual. Mix styles to add interest to a room; these days even dining-room chairs need not be identical.
